We booked Blazing Saddles for my birthday barn dance and they were brilliant. We only had a duo with Tim and Debby which worked out perfectly. The music was excellent and Debby is a great caller who managed to get almost all the guests on the floor to take part in the dancing and, everyone had a great time. Debby was also easy to communicate with and very helpful during the planning stages.

Thanks to Shenanigan for making my 70th Birthday Ceilidh evening go so well.
The dances , pace, calling etc., were perfect in encouraging everyone, including some who never normally dance at all, as well as the children, to try it and to enjoy themselves.
I would recommend you in future.

Absolutely fantastic! The music was so brilliant and got everyone dancing. Every single person that came to the wedding commented on just how great Aces High were. The band members were all so lovely too - highly recommend to anyone considering them for any event! X

"We really could not be happier, thank you so much for performing at our wedding in Topsham. Thoroughly recommend to anyone (I just wish we could give more than 5 stars) and look forward to listening to your CD!
Absolutely lovely people and fabulous voices, suited our small venue very well. Dave made all the organisation very easy and gave us lots of choices prior to the Wedding. Thanks again!!"

I was delighted with this duo for my Wedding celebration ; they turned up on time, they were polite and helpful and sounded great. Everyone attending was impressed with them...great value. Thank you boys! X
We delivered next level parties for exceptional companies
We also did more than 40,000 birthday parties. Probably, including your neighbour’s recent big bash.
Hire a Country Band in Manchester: The Buyer’s Guide
Planning a party in Manchester and fancy a bit of twang with your tonic? You’re in the right place. This guide walks you through hiring a Country Band in Manchester, from the music and line-ups to budgets, venues, and timelines. We’ll keep it simple, practical, and fun, so you can book with confidence and get back to daydreaming about your big singalong.
Why a Country Band Suits Manchester
Manchester does music properly. The city loves live guitars, big choruses, and sing-it-from-the-belly energy. A good country band brings all of that, with storytelling lyrics, close harmonies, and dance-floor-friendly grooves. It’s upbeat without being shouty, warm without being cheesy, and it plays beautifully with Manchester’s mix of industrial charm and indie spirit.
What a Typical Country Band Looks and Sounds Like
Line-ups vary, but you’ll usually see a core of vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, and drums. Many add fiddle, pedal steel, banjo, or keys to round out that Nashville sparkle. For smaller spaces, a duo or trio keeps things intimate. For bigger crowds, a four or five-piece brings the full honky-tonk. Expect tight harmonies, twangy lead lines, and plenty of crowd chat. Most bands provide PA, lighting, and background playlists between sets, so your whole evening flows without gaps.
Styles and Setlists That Work in Manchester
A smart Manchester set blends classics with modern favourites and a few surprises:
Golden-age country singalongs everyone knows
Pop-country hits for hands-in-the-air moments
Americana and roots for that rich, earthy feel
Indie-country mash-ups that tip the hat to local tastes
A few line-dance-friendly numbers if you want to bring the two-step to town
Tell the band what you love. If you’re all about modern pop-country, they’ll lean in. If you want a rootsy, folky vibe, they’ll steer that way.
Where a Country Band Shines in Manchester
Weddings: A heartfelt first dance, then foot-stomping floor-fillers. Country is brilliant for mixed-age crowds.
Tech or agency parties: Fresh, feel-good live music that’s cooler than a standard covers band and great for team socials.
Christmas do’s: Country lends itself to festive warmth. You can even ask for a seasonal twist on the set.
Student nights: High energy, big choruses, easy crowd interaction, and plenty of songs you can belt out together.
City festivals: Street-party vibes, daytime sessions, and acoustic roaming sets work brilliantly in public or pop-up spaces.

Manchester’s architecture is your friend. Country music sits perfectly in:
Mills and lofts with brick, beams, and high ceilings
Indie venues with good sound and a ready-made stage
Hotel suites where you want polish and smooth changeovers
Modern city-centre event spaces where access and logistics are easy
If you’re working with a compact room, go for a smaller line-up or semi-acoustic set. If the space is grand, bring the five-piece and let the fiddle sing.
Theme Ideas That Feel Very Manchester
Northern Honky-Tonk
Think denim, bandanas, and a barroom-style setlist. Add a few gritty crowd-pleasers and keep the patter playful.
Indie-Country Mash-Up
Blend Americana with Manchester’s indie heritage. Expect jangly guitars, rich harmonies, and clever left-turn covers.
Yee-Haa Xmas Social
Festive country favourites, a couple of seasonal singalongs, and a warm, cosy atmosphere that suits end-of-year parties.
What It Costs to Hire a Country Band in Manchester
Typical fees for a Country Band in Manchester range from £900 to £1,800. That usually covers two sets of live music, basic PA and lighting, and a playlist between sets. Price depends on:
Band size and experience
Travel and arrival time
Peak dates and late finishes
Special requests, extra sets, or early load-ins
Lock in mid-week or shoulder-season dates for keener pricing. If your budget is tight, consider a trio or a shorter performance window.

Space, Sound, and Tech Made Simple
Performance area: About 4m wide by 3m deep for a four-piece. Smaller line-ups can squeeze tighter.
Power: Two or three standard sockets near the stage area.
Sound limiters: Let the band know in advance if your venue uses one. Experienced groups can adapt.
Load-in: Clear access makes a huge difference. Share lift or stair details and parking info early.
Extras: Ask about a wireless mic for speeches and a DJ playlist that suits your theme between sets.
Make It Feel Personal
First dance: Most bands will learn one or two special songs if you ask early.
Requests: Share a handful of must-plays and any absolute no-gos.
Dress code: From smart-casual to full Western. Tell them your theme and they’ll match the look.
Shout-outs: If you want birthdays, winners, or team mentions, send a short list before the day.
Country Band Options for Different Manchester Events
Weddings: Start mellow, build to foot-stompers, finish with arms-round-shoulders anthems.
Tech or agency parties: High-impact set openers, a few clever mash-ups, and plenty of modern crossovers to keep the floor full.
Christmas do’s: Add seasonal numbers and cosy Americana to the usual set.
Student nights: Keep it punchy with big choruses and familiar hooks. Short breaks, maximum momentum.
City festivals: Acoustic roaming sets during the day, full band in the evening if you’ve got the stage and power.
Keeping Venue Managers and Neighbours Happy
Check curfews early and plan set times around them

Budget Tips Without Cutting the Vibe
Book early for peak Fridays and Saturdays
Consider Thursdays or Sundays for value
Choose a trio if your space or budget is tight
Keep the load-in simple to avoid extra crew time
Use the band’s playlist service rather than a separate DJ
