Xavier and the mariachi band were amazing. We had a small joint birthday party with a Mexican theme and all of our guest loved them.
Xavier reached out before the event to organise timings and asked if there were any special requests. Also on the day some guests had requests and they played them straight away.
I’m so pleased we booked them it made all the difference to a fun day. I would certainly recommend the band to everyone.

WOW, Mariachi Rey are the best value for money you will ever spend, they made the party and got everyone involved, I have never seen so many people with the biggest of smiles throughout the performances. Everyone that came along have not stopped talking about Mariachi Rey and sharing photos. Not that we needed photos as the experience is permanently etched in our memories.

Mariachi Rey were amazing for our wedding in East Sussex. They surprised our guests by playing as we left our ceremony. Communication between us & the band was great & our wedding guests loved them.

They absolutely made the event! The wedding was Mexican themed and we set it up as a surprise. I play in a band myself and I wish we got the same roar of approval after our first number! They played authentic instruments and mixed in a few western songs in a Mexican style . They also moved around the hall so everyone got a chance to see them play close up. Well worth the money,I am sure everyone that was there will remember the band playing!

Mariachi Rey came to play at my 50th birthday party and were absolutely amazing, better than I could have imagined. They were prompt, friendly and extremely professional. I have had so many comments from my guests who were blown away by the band and said it was the highlight of the party. The price was so reasonable too given the time and quality of performance they provided. These guys were fantastic! Great sound, very prompt and professional. Xavier was very attentive and replied quickly to all communication. I requested a song that was not on their list and they learned it before the gig! Made for a memorable evening. Highly recommended.

Precisely what we needed for a friends funeral. It's what he wanted. This is a very professional band who were flexible when our requirements kept changing. They even learned a non-mexican song for us at very short notice. They sensed the mood of the group and played up to it and their timing was perfect. They travelled a great distance to play for us and arrived with plenty of time to spare. The man who died wanted everyone at the funeral to smile and laugh. That's what the band was for and they did it perfectly.

Wow! Mariachi Rey were excellent! They played st my wedding on Friday between the main course and dessert. It was a complete surprise for our guests and they absolutely loved them! Everyone was up dancing and it set a great mood for the rest of the day. Everyone can’t stop talking about them. Thank you so much!

I hired Xavier and his colleagues for a work party and found them to be friendly, communicative and, most importantly, superb musicians. Despite a challenging journey down to the south coast, the band added extra flair to our Christmas event and everyone enjoyed it immensely. If you want to do something a little different to what most people go for when they book entertainment for functions, listen to these guys.

Band was perfect, my now fiance was very surprised and happy! Despite the tears of joy! Thank you very much for an unforgettable evening Xavier and look forward to seeing you at our wedding!! Couldn't have been happier with the band. Defineately recommend to everyone!

Legends. Not only did these guys come to Brighton to lead a 30 person pub crawl, they didn't even know what a pub crawl was!!?? Now they do and they've left us with many memories, from having a duel with buskers, to marching through the North Laines to the strains of Ring of Fire, via causing chaos in numerous pubs, restaurants, and one knitting class. Thanks Mariachi Ray, once we have done the midget acrobats for our next outing I reckon we'll have you back, you were brilliant!

We booked Mariachi Rey for a wedding ""oop North"" to play after the ceremony and before the wedding breakfast. Having thought about that long pause you get at weddings between the photographer and the wedding breakfast, we decided to include something a little different that the guests would enjoy and that would help ease the day along.

As we finished taking the photographs, right on cue, Mariachi Rey entered the function room to gasps of delight from the guests as the band went through their repertoire.

It worked perfectly, the hour long performance bridged that awkward gap, all the guests made the most positive comments and the enthusiasm of the musicians was reflected in the guests' smiles and dancing.

Having Mariachi Rey at the wedding was a delight and we would certainly book them again. We just need another wedding to sort out now!"

Spectacular they rounded off a very good evening everybody enjoyed the music and the sense of fun they injected into the proceedings. All of the guests were talking about Mariachi rey after the event and during breakfast the next morning. The following evening we had a meal at the Mex restaurant in St Ives dressed as Mexicans and everybody was singing ay ay ay ay youre my favourite lady so the joy they brought continued. Thankyou I know where to come for good entertainment.

"What an amazing day. A Mexican theme birthday party for a special birthday and special boy. Everyone arrived in fancy dress which is always a good start as were already in the mood to party. The food and even the beer was Mexican.
Mariachi Rey were amazing and were accompanied by our host Mexican dancers who were fantastic! The songs were great, everyone sang along and left the party with big smiles on their faces and a wonderful memory to cherish forever. That is surely how you measure the real success of a party.

We had an absolutely fabulous time and mariachi rey were brilliant! Very professional and great fun from start to finish. They had pre warned me that they may be a few minutes late depending on traffic and they were very good at keeping me up to date with their estimated arrival time. They were very promt, very good, and very accommodating. Would highly recommend them. Everyone at my party commented on them and I think they made my party without a doubt. Thank you.

After arriving a little late (hence the lack of a fifth star) once settled in I have to say that the guys nailed it!

Great interaction with the crowd, got people literally standing on the tables and chairs. Set the atmosphere for a great night.

great communication from the outset until the end of the event. We felt they were a little quiet, vocals weren't too loud and a few people thought maracas would have been good. Maybe as this was a duo if it had been a trio the sound may have been more effective.

A bit of a shaky start, asked the group to enter the venue playing happy birthday to surprise both the birthday boy and guests with the band. They didn't. They parked and got ready across the street so all the guests noticed them, they also came in to the party trying to confirm with me when they were there to do, it ruined the intended surprise and delight aspect of their performance. They started with another song before they played HBD, but once they got going they were great fun. We asked if they would play during the pinata portion but they wouldn't play for one min longer than they were booked for. The music was great, but just awkward in terms of the coordination of their performance and actually their attitude.

They came very late . ( over 90min) it was ok not great .
Would I hire them again ?.... not really

What can I say about this band apart from absolutely brilliant.... they called me a couple of days beforehand to confirm all the details & sent a tex on the day saying exactly what time they were arriving. We had a BBQ party for my husbands 60th birthday & from the minute they came in they were so friendly, happy and very talented... everyone was talking about them - they were an excellent choice & certainly livened up the party! I would highly recommend 'Mariachi Rey' one %....
